Polish Spring Picnic - Mission Accomplished!
Another very successful event took place on Sunday, June 14th,
2015. Many volunteers from the East Bay Polish American Association
have carefully planned, shopped, and cooked for weeks for this annual
summer gathering. Father Mariusz
Tabaczek, with Deacon Witold Cichon, started this windy, but sunny morning
with the Holy Mass. It was a pleasure to
listen to Fr. Mariusz's sermon under blue skies and a gigantic pine tree where
the altar was setup. Right after the
Holy Mass, another little celebration took place. Grazyna Wilczkowiak has joined the ranks of
the Polish Scouts Organization from Martinez. After that, we could do only one thing, enjoy
Polish cooking and peacefully spend the rest of the day in the park. For the first time in a long time, there were
some additional activities for the kids.
Thanks to the group of very devoted and resourceful parents, we
held a lottery with a lot of very attractive prizes. The menu was improved a little and we, for
the first time, were able to serve German draft beer. It looked like everyone had a great time and
the Sunday was not long enough.
We can't thank enough the entire team of people who was able to put together such a great outdoor event.
